My family calls them drugs (jokingly) but I prefer meds or my pet name for Lexapro: Lexy.
What do other people like calling them?

Yea, my wife says "drugs" in her sarcastic way, "did you get your drugs?" She thinks the meds get me high. I will admit I do like the feeling Wellbutrin and Zoloft leave me in, but it's just a well being, not a high. And the Xanax, aspirins to me.

I call them meds.

I just call them "my meds". Sometimes I give specific ones names; I used to call Wellbutrin just "Butrin" (because it didn't really make me feel well). Someone on this board (I think BPNurse) called Zyprexa "vitamin Z" once, and I've adopted that phrase too.

I really like "Lexy" for Lexapro!

I just say pills. I think calling them drugs is an American thing. We don't call it drugs at all. We don't have drug stores, we have pharmacies or chemists. Just interesting.

I totally respect that medications work for people and that they are widely needed and do a lot of good, but for me they were poison and only made me worse. Therefore, I called them my poison.

I usually say meds. Sometimes it's psych meds or heart meds or blood thinner, if I need to be specific.
