Ahh I really just want some advice. My father's manias tore my family to shreds and I have just recently moved to a nice place and a great job and I feel like I have inherited this terrible condition. I feel amazon but I can't sleep at all, unless I take sonething heavy but I am so talkative and creative and friendly. But to my girlfriend, she doesn't recognize me, she irritates me t is like she trying to make me alone because she puts me down. I have to wait to see a physician and I don't want it to get worse all I really need is a way to sleep so I can stay on top of things but I am running out of options! Any advice?

Maybe look into some meditation to slow things down for you.

You can try anything with Diphenhydramine,
Excedrin PM
Nytol
Tylenol PM

or just about any thing with antihistamines in it. The idea behind OTC sleep aides is to get the brain tired, so you feel drowsy. They work for people with mild sleeping issues, but generally won't work for serious sleep issues.

Usually you will need hypnotics/sedatives, Ambien, some anti-psychotics also work. I'm getting good results so far from Seroquel. Nothing but hypnotics worked for me before seroquel and I tried every thing. Everyone is different though!

Good Luck!
