So much for being able to see a freaking psychiatrist... I hate efing hospitals and insurance and the entire efing thing. I have a therapist but in order for me to see a efing psychiatrist I have to see your efing counselor. How much sense does that make? I understand wanting to efing make sure that I'm really seeing a efing therapist, but can't you do that by requesting records? Stupid efing paper pusher. "We don't offer just medication management, not to mention you're outside of our treatment area. You'll have to call your insurance." Are you efing kidding me? My insurance is the one who gave me your efing information. I'm the one who'd be driving so whats it matter if I'm outside your efing treatment area.
This anger is dangerous. I can feel it welling up inside. But I must let it go. Anger scares me. But it's still there simmering.....grrrrrrrrrrrr

I don't blame you for being angry. Is there not another psychiatrist office that you could try and not have to go through this extra counseling session that you don't really need?

I remember one time something similar happening to me. The counselor took all the pertinate information, personal sysmptoms. I got the idea it was so the psychiatrist didn't want to spend that much time with me and just wanted someone else to do the leg work. i didn't stay with him long.

I don't know. I contacted my insurance guru who happens to be a mental health nurse and got no answer so I left a message. It didn't do much for my mood which has not improved. And now I'm thinking bad bad thoughts since I won't hurt another person it's all directed at me. I hate this. The lady at the psychiatrist office made it sound like they would never just do med management and I would have to see their counselor in order to get anything. I really don't want to deal with anyone or anything for a while because that anger might get redirected if I'm not extremely careful. But eugh.....

I go to a center like that. My T sees people every 2 weeks to a month or so. Maybe you can alline the therapist to only the days you see the pdoc? even if it has to be a double session.

I'm sorry your in this situation ...

Life has many hoops to jump thought , sadly enough.

Right now you sound like you really need help so maybe bite the bullet and play there game until your feeling better then you can work out a game plan that will work for you .

There are several people that sees more then one therapist. I don't see it as an issue to keep your current therapist and occasionally see them. Unless insurance has an issue.
