Good evening friends! So I met with my new doctor, she increased my medication. I was at a low dose of 50 of Lamictal, now were doing 100 and she wants me to go get to 300 and be off my anti depressant and anti anxiety medication. I got so emotional about it, I felt like why did she have to increase my medication, I thought I was doing kinda well, and adjusting too it. but I sorta understand. IDK I am confused to her actions, she wants me off the anti anxiety, and it is the kolonipin, and I am so uncomfortable about stopping that medication, when that is the one that really helps me with my rage.
I hated meeting her, it felt like I was just another number to her, asking questions and just writing scrips. She told me this is a process with the medication to try and find the right kind of level of medicine. and she asked me when I was planning on having more children, because the medication is not good for the child. and I want to have another baby. but looks like I have to wait a few years. I guess that's okay, so I just have to be positive, and believe I am on the right track.

anyone else have this same feeling or emotions? anyone have any good ideas on how to help.

thanks fam!

I get extremely scared when my doctor changes my medication. Every Dr. I had that treats me like a number I keep until I find a better option.

I hate when my meds get adjusted too. I think sometimes the pdoc doesn't think of the side effects you have to go through over and over again whenever they adjust the meds. I know it's just part of the process, but it sucks.

Personally I love the purple
Onece you increase the lamactil maybe it will control the rage and you won't need the kolonipin. Some doctors are a bit hesitant about prescribing benzodiazepines cos they are addictive and you get habituated to them if you use them regularly so you need more to get the same effect.

I know it sucks to get a med change. I used to get really upset over it but now I trust my pdoc cos he's awesome

if you don't like your pdoc then maybe think about finding one that you do like but maybe give them a chance first.
