Today has been a better than average day..no anxiety. I felt like cooking, cleaning and I felt content. Is this stable? Or is stable something that happens for longer periods? I don't feel manic..my thoughts are pretty darn clear. Guess I'm confused.

I think "stable" means having no marked mood episodes, for x amount of time (exactly what I don't know, because I've never been stable for longer than 2-3 months). Anyone else have a more accurate idea?

I will read the blog, too! I am considering blogging as well, and also on wordpress.

swheaton - stability involves a regular sleep/wake cycle, so there is a temporal aspect to that. It sounds like you are having a good day, and I hope it continues.

I am getting fitbit to record my sleep. It also works like a super smart pedometer. Costs about $100, available at REI. I am hoping it will give me insight into my sleep patterns.
Thanks for this!

I consider myself stable and it has been around a year without any predominant episodes. As to how long it has to be, I really don't think there is a time frame. Not really sure though.

I have a fitbit, Hampster. You'll love it.

I hope to stay the way I feel. I'm hoping with therapy, that I'll be able to deal with the triggers to my anxiety and depression.
Thanks for this!

For me stable is improving in my real problematic areas.

1. Flying off the handle easily 2. Frequent impulsive shopping, piercing and tattoos 3. Threatening people and really meaning it (and really scaring them) 4. Road rage 5. Carrying weapons 6. Getting into physical fights 7. Cussing people out on FB.

When I do not do these things or improve I feel I'm stable. Because I'm able to be productive and spend my time doing less damage control.
