Last night I was out drinking. The 3 drinks I had were strong, I got a headache not long after. Around 3am I was in bed trying to fall sleep and took 150mg of Seroquel to fall asleep. This morning I drank my usual cup of coffee. I think the combination of these 3 was not a good idea because I've had chest pain since this morning. It's just on my left side but it worries me because I had open heart surgery. I'm taking it easy and hoping it's just a matter of time before the pain goes away. It has lessen in the last hour..but yeah I see now it wasn't a good combination.

I think you should go get checked out, I'd be concerned about the chest pain no matter the reason. Hope all goes well.

How are you feeling? When I had my heart attack I had crushing pain in the center of my chest. Not to be a know-it-all but you really shouldn't drink on your meds. I hope you're feeling better

If you are having chest pain and a you have a history of heart surgery you should probably see a doctor right away. It can be dangerous to assume it's just the combo of meds, coffee, and alcohol, because there could be something more serious going on. Only you know your body and how bad you feel, but I wanted to say something just in case.

Gris, I believe with previous posts that you should get checked out. Better to be safe than sorry.

Still, alchohol with heart medication? Hey, I am not trying to be critical with you, and I am no expert, but do you really think this was a good idea? Good thoughts to you! ![]() tucson PS: The thought of open heart surgery makes me a bit apprehensive. |

Hope you are feeling better and you got it checked out. Drinking and meds are never a good combo, and since you just had surgery I would be concerned.

I'm better, thanks everyone. I don't usually drink. I'm not on heart medicine but yes I usually limit my drinking. I don't have insurance right now, but I have further concerns there's a free clinic in my neighborhood.
