My hubs and tdoc are on the lookout because they say I'm hypomanic...I really don't think so, in fact I think they are wrong more and more...especially because I am sleeping as normal. That is my first and biggest warning sign. Is it even possible to be hypomanic and still be sleeping normally?

In my case, no. If I am sleeping normally than it is just a good mood, not a hypomanic episode. But seems to be many people who differ from the diagnostic criteria here so you might find someone who can relate.

I suppose it could be possible. What symptoms are you displaying that makes them think that you are hypo-manic?

Thank you! That is exactly what I am saying! I am finally in a good mood after a long depression. They are saying my behavior and demeanor say otherwise and it is on my nerves a little. I don't want to be feeling better just to have them say I am unwell. I am just wondering if they are right.

My tdoc said I was wide eyed and strong, talking fast and more than usual. My hubs says I am too hyper, isolating myself too much, wanting to come off of my meds and just saying bizarre things...I just don't think I've been bizarre. And both of them are saying I am becoming too preoccupied with my faith again. But that's just it, my faith has been distinguished for so long that I feel like I might actually be regaining it.

I was hypo-manic for months until people started pointing out my symptoms. I, however, had to agree with them because I agreed with the symptoms I was having. Are there other symptoms you may be having, such as an inflated ego, doing several projects, poor attention span, restlessness, increased anxiety, etc..?

I think and hope that my tdoc has just never seen me as myself and my hubs is overly worried.

I have always maintained that if my energy is normal then I am just happy. However last week I knew I was hypo yet still exhausted due to physical illness and PMS. Then I stayed up late Thursday through Saturday then crashed then stayed up again last night now I probably crashing tonight the. Tomorrow who knows? Right?
Aaaah I know I'm not making sense. What is sense anyway. What I mean is I'm mind of strange in that 10 hours is what I need to feel rested so if I'm only sleeping seven that's a major change and no good. But I think I recall you saying that you believe god is telling you not to take medication? Was that you? Because no offense because I am not religious so I feel that's a little far fetched and I can see why that degree of religiousness might be a flag for your supporters.

Don't be embarrassed it's just not something I can understand as I've never been super religious. My mom is for sure but she's not exactly stable. She's not a good reference point.
I agree to stay on meds for awhile though because you COULD me getting hypo and it could be precursor to mania which is no good from what I hear! I hope everything gets straightened out in your head!
