Some times I wonder..... I don't know about you all by my mind is like always going 99999999 miles an hour or nowhere....

I am currently on Paxil and Abilify. The Abilify has been a god send to be honest. It keeps me away from being super manic, and super suicidal which is nice. Now I have been in a depressive state for a few weeks now... I just feel so.... meh.... and it just goes on and on and on....its almost "normal" but depressive, nothing is all that exciting and I'm just kinda there... Im not really sure what to do to pull my self out. (Coffee helps a little hah)... Im just so tired and uncaring about life.

Part of it might be work. Work is extremely stressful and unfortunately the abilify can only do so much for me when I am stressed and I can only do so much. So i am trying to take a vacation but it wouldn't be for another two weeks...

What do you all do to pull out of a never ending slump?

Mike! I feel the same way! I truly wish I had a great answer for you but...I don't. Perhaps the Paxil needs to be changed?? I just started on Fetzima and after two weeks I'm feeling just as you described. Stuck between depressed and normal. I almost wish I was manic so I could get up and do SOMETHING.
I hope you find the end of your slump soon. Perhaps another talk with the doc?

Yea I see the doctor monday... I just get annoyed, she doesn't listen... I could raise my paxil but I am skeptical because of all the side effects from paxil. Right now i only take 1/2 of what is prescribed.

Instructions/Best Way to Take Paxil (paroxetine)

Never, ever split, chew, or crush Paxil CR, or the controlled/extended release version of any med. Just swallow it whole the way God and GSK intended. GSK recommends taking Paxil in the morning. Unless SSRIs usually keep you awake, we suggest you should first try taking Paxil at night. I cannot stress how important it is to take Paxil at the same time every day. Because of its short half-life and non-linear pharmacokinetics 5 it’s easy to understand, or at least wrap your head around the concept of why some people can get SSRI discontinuation syndrome if they are a few hours late taking their dose. With Pexeva and other branded generics that are paroxetine mesylate, you have some wiggle room. You can’t miss a day, like you can with Prozac or Abilify, but like Lexapro if you’re a few hours late you probably won’t notice anything.

I had the same issue and discovered it was the abilify that did it to me. When I stopped it I felt better. Now I take trileptal...sometimes...and nothing else.
