I'm on latuda...I don't think it's working right. I'm really impulsive and saying really weird stuff. I CAN'T STOP MOVING. It is so horrible. Suicide has never been such a comforting thought. I took a vyvanse that I had from a year ago because I was panicking...I hope it does something for me.

Does anybody know if anything will help? If I take a benadryl or anything will it stop me from moving so much?

I'm going for a drive now...I hope nothing bad happens.

Can you call a pharmacy to see if benadryl would be contraindicated? If not, then get yourself to an ER if it is that bad. I hope that this improves for you.

They have methods to treat these movements and your current condition such as Benadryl (over the counter), Cogentin and Propanalol for the movements because they inhibit dopamine and lower your blood pressure.

Call you pdoc right away for instructions. If he isn't available, head to the ER.
Thanks for this!

I agree that hospitalization might be necessary for a severe freak out. Know your rights and that if you say you're suicidal they will keep you there and if not they'll let you go. Make sure not to lie to them, tell them how you really feel so you can get the help you need.

Benadryl is a good option if you don't have any benzos available. But don't take more than 2. If that doesn't help, go to the ER because they can give you Ativan or something to help you calm down, even if they don't keep you. And maybe stop the latuda if you're sure that's causing it. I had the same issue last year with celexa. Horrible! I'm sorry you're going through it.

I hope your decided against taking a drive that would put you and others at risk.

Best bet if your still having the problems is to go to the ER they have meds that can help you. The problem your having it not uncommon.

Good luck and stay safe

I TOTALLY AGREE! I have had those horrible symptoms of needing to move non-stop. I quit all my meds immediately until I could be seen by my pdoc. In the meantime, I was able to manage with moderate amounts of wine. Alcohol is a powerful CNS depressant. That may not be advised in your case - but getting immediate help is advised.

Outlaw Sammy, alcohol tends to make mood swings worse. In some it has the opposite effect of swinging one into mania due to the rapid GABBA input and output. I would not recommend alcohol.

Hi Lobster, your best bet is getting in touch with your PDoc and call your pharmacist. He/she should know if your reaction is life threatening. If you don't get good answers, get to the ER, they know the best ways to counteract the Latuda. If I remember correctly you've been having problems with this drug. Perhaps it is time to ask your PDoc to give you something else. Please don't take anything without medical advice. Good luck and keep us posted.

Sorry to cause problems guys...the meds finally wore off. That was horrible. Thanks a lot for responding. It means more than you probably think. I did go out and drive around and I ended up doing some weird stuff on the road, I should not have done that but I could not stay at my house and keep pacing.
