Using antidepressants for BP or anything but unipolar has become controversial as it does often increase other problems

Before welbutrin worked well and it saved my life this time. I'm of the feeling anti depressants are required to treat all symptoms of BP. Pdoc doesn't want to take me off the welbutrin because its my last chance before older AD. That I most likely won't take long term.

Lithium caused weight gain for me. I have an ED anorexia history so I can relate. I've taken Abilify, Geodon and Seroquel ... Geodon I lost weight. Abilify and Seroquel were weight neutral for me. My pdoc has mentioned schizoaffective to me - but said treatment for my bipolar 1 is the same treatment if schizoaffective med-wise. Thinking of you. xoxo

I forgot all meds. I'm going to try to take the abilify tonight. My husbands telling me to stop yelling at him but I don't feel I am. I really didn't sleep well last night. Hoping tonight will be better.

One of the girls are graduating and its my nephews 5th birthday, so I'll be hosting 16 people in my small 3 bed/ 2 bath. Friday-sunday. Some of them don't speak English and I don't speak Spanish so this is an excellent trial by fire for the abilify. If I don't sleep well tonight I'm taking my PRN because this is not the time to stress my body more.

I'm taking Abilify and I have yet to experience weight gain. Saphris is also one that doesn't have a weight gain side effect and can be taken PRN.

Good luck, friend. Hang in there.

I stopped the abilify and my mother in law coming tomorrow. Well come to find out she'll be stranded here because her ride home bailed on her. So I offered us to drive her home and stay for about 3 wks. Then ill come home for 5 weeks which I have to pack to move, get Miguel ready for camp, pack for my trip with my parents, make sure we have an apartment to move to, and whatever else.

I don't think I'll be able to be on an AP full time. I'm not good with taking meds when my other issues flare. I'm thinking about possibly doing an injectable AP so I can't abruptly stop. Has anyone done injectable? I had them as a kid for pneumonia and I remember it hurt really bad. Does it? If I really do need a full time antipsychotic to keep me out of IP and my family/friends. It'll most likely need injectable meds. I feel really childish as both my husband and son take APS fine. Is it bad that I feel like I gave up just for seriously considering an AP? I guess I have a lot to talk to T about.

I started latuda two weeks ago and I'm starting to lose weight, even though I'm taking the med with food.

I take testosterone by IM injection once a week, and after the first three weeks I was doing them myself without supervision. You get used to it.

So I talked to T. She wants me to start taking the serouqol because I need to slow down and sleep. She again said I was stable for about two months, besides the psychosis. She wrote down my days I'll be gone and hinted I may get a new pdoc within the week so s/he can see me. T did say currently I'm still functional but that can change quickly. She spent most of her time talking to my husband because I was off in " Lisa land".
