Lamictal and Seroquel
or
Depakote and Ambien

My therapist sometimes lets me pick and choose my own combos. I find Lamictal a little stimulating but it works for depression and I don't like the antipsychotics but they work.
Depakote makes you majorly flat and I'm not sure how long it will work with Ambien? But at least Ambien isn't an AP that could cause a movement disorder. Best of these choices?

I would say Lamictal and Seroquel, mostly because Depakote is so flattening and also very hard on your body over time. Would you be on a low dose of Seroquel for sleep or a higher anti-psychotic dose?

Personally I can't take any sort of sleep med because I get super hungover. But you could try the lamictal combo for awhile (read: months not weeks lol). Then maybe later when you are in a better place you can ask for Seroquel As a prn instead.

Pretty much for sleep, then. Does the X stand for extended release? Instant release would probably have a bit less of a chance of giving you the hangover wildflower mentioned. Though if you have trouble staying asleep, I could see why your doctor might prefer the longer release version.

How about lamictal and ambien? Or is that not an option? It's weird that they would give you a choice of 2 combinations like that.
