I've heard mixed things about it. I'm supposed to start it to help level out my "general" anxiety. But I wanted to be taken off lamictal first because I swear it was making me manic... well I'm still feeling manic and I'm OFF the lamictal. Idk what's going on... I have a few minor stressors in my life so it could just be that. But I've been "acting out" recently. Also nervous to start an antidepressant in a manic state... aren't antidepressants supposed to be bad for mania?
Thanks!

Yes, the more recent research says that antidepressants can cause mania to kick in. But I do take a small dose of two of them.
Maybe your doc needs to put you on something to help calm you down. Have you told him/her about your manic feelings? ![]() ![]() |

agreed....I took an antidepressant for anxiety and it kicked off one of the worst manias I have every had. new pdoc prescribed one for sleep and I wont even take it occasionally for that. not worth the risk in my books. but there are different classes of antidepressants. Zoloft made me manic but I can take wellbutrin and be just fine.
