[Patsy Cline]

I'm about to start a new med, Fetzima, and I'm nervous. Has anyone tried it? What do you think?

I know of one person who tried it unsuccessfully but it appears to be relatively new.

I started on Fetzima and it really seemed to be working well. After about ten days or so on it, I started having problems with feeling overheated and sweating (thought I might be going into menopause actually). I decided, though, that it was probably the Fetzima as the culprit and went off of it. The hot flashes have improved since discontinuing. It really did seem to be helping my depression though. Hope it works well for you.

Sorry to hear about the hot flashes. I did read it can cause sweating. It's only day two but I'm hopeful.

Been on Effexor for 10 years at 225mg helped with GAD....worst part weight gain 40 pds. Decided to try newer drug to alleviate weight gain....New fam care physician had me stop Effexor cold and jump to FETZIMA.....Worst mistake ever....the withdrawals were horrendous. In bed for four days. FETZIMA was great for energy...had a lot of energy and was getting things done but very short tempered (I have patience of JOB)....Doctor ramped me up to 80mgs....was jittery and anxious, waves of anxiety.....joined a gym lost weight. Tapering down now...not happy with this drug, do not think it is good for anxiety/panic...I have been on it since May and I need to taper off smartly this time any advice?
