Hey everyone

Just sharing my state of mind and problems that I'm dealing with.

It's my 10th day on Abilify+Lamictal combo, and I am doing very well
But I have some issues that I'd like to tell you about it. Well I don't swing pretty much nothing...but I do have some other problems. Well I am scared of changes. Even small ones. Like going to my grandmother for a visit (which I did today) and it made me nervous while sitting in the car. It's not like anxiety in it's full shape...but just nervous. Can't really relax.

My restless feeling on Abilify pretty much went away, though I'm still waiting how I'll feel once I'll be in my PMS.

So yeah, my question, how to stop this fear from changes? Cus I still get little anxiety, like not relaxed feeling. Once I'll stop having those feelings I know I won't feel fear anymore. Would I have to increase my Abilify?

Than God I have pdoc appoinment in about 12 days...and I'll point my doubts out. I really can't live like this, In constant fear.

Thanks for listening guys hugs***

Did you have these feelings before the medication? You could always try distraction. Try changing your thought pattern?
Whatever you do, keep facing that fear and don't start to isolate. It's good that you will be seeing your Doc soon.

Hope that helps a bit.

Are you seeing a T ? a lot of anxiety can be treated with talk therapy (CBT).. ie: fear of change .. Thats not something a pill is going to "fix'..all the way.

Im glad that Abilify is working for you

Hey guys, thanks for your replies.

Yeah, had problems before...and went to therapy for 6 months, thought it helped me, but actually it was the AD's that made me feel super great and "happy" (manic).

I am not isolating myself I guess. I want to go out and do things but I am scared. And I am doing things but the ones that are in a routine. I have to mention this to my doc for sure. I already did the last time. Well I said I feel restless, but not anxious.

But forgot to tell her I'm afraid of I don't know...going on a holiday. And I agree Christina, a lot of things can be helpful (like talk therapy) but it wasn't in my case. It just made me over think about myself. And if it would really help, then I wouldn't get worse afterwards, like I did.

Why do people get AD's for anxiety? Cus it helps no? I don't want to go on another pill, but maybe what I need is increasing Abilify? Yes...it works wonders for me, thank you Christina and big hug to you **

Skitz 13, trying my best. But avoiding things, for sure. I hope that by time I'll get rid of this fear cus it's getting worse and worse. The anxiety isn't getting worse, but the fear is. I know there's no specific ground for it. I am aware of it. But still....I'm afraid ://

I know that sort of nervous/anxious feeling well. Even when I do little routine things, I feel it. Not much at home, but definitely when facing an event. I am coming out of a bad two year depression and I think this is just another step in getting better. But I will talk to my pdoc about it to see if I need a med change.
I hope you feel more relaxed soon. Try to go out as much as you can and don't isolate .Keep that social life going!
