I really don't. Semi cross posted from self injury forums. Today I felt so high and out of touch that it was scary. I have had problems with self injury but had been doing well. But today, like I said, I felt like I was almost ready to start floating. Like I needed to cut or bite myself so that I could come down. I feel scared. I need to find a place that will help me to finally reach a diagnosis. I had a couple glasses of wine tonight and I still feel all over the place. So out of touch. Is there anyone out there that has any insight? I feel scared.

Sounds like dissociation of some sort.

I don't experience being high too often, but it can be a scary place to be not to mention dangerous. Do you have some plans in place, things that you can do, people you can call on when you feel like this? When you get the chance its a good idea to get some prevention measures in place to help you when you are feeling detached. Might also be a good idea to write down how you are feeling for your next pdoc appointment, most like it when you track your moods as it helps them see where you are at.

Hang in there.

Thank you, I had started tracking my moods a few months ago but quit. I will start again today. I feel more level today but still just out of touch. I will try to contact my best friend (her mother has bipolar) I think that she would understand and be the most supportive.
