Hi To Everyone,

I refer to my previous post re:Brown envelopes which advised me to return my licence and stop driving for the forseeable future.

I was advised that at least a 6 month period of stability must be maintained until my driving licence will be returned.

Here in England, failure to notify the DVLA of a mental health condition means that insurance is invalid and a £1,000 will be incurred. I would have felt nervous on the road had DVLA not been informed although I was blissfully unaware and driving around for many years.

I am disappointed but now I know what I am aiming for I think.

Anyone with 4 or more serious episodes per year will be met with the same response I am told.

W8

Hi Whimsical8, I'm sorry to hear that brown envelope came again. Keep you chin up. that 6 months should fly right by, and hopefully you'll be on the road again. I wish you nothing but the best.

It took courage for you to disclose that information to them. I too and hopeful for your return to driving in a short while.
