does any one have experience with Latuda. I am currently taking lamictal(lamotegine). I have been prescribed other medications in the past such as zyprexa along with lamictal. my mood is normally low or on the depressive end with only occasianl bouts of hypomania. Currently I am tired and still depressive. Ive been taking lamictal in different amounts for close to 2 years. I am 30. I have been taking meds off and on since I was 26. Lamical so far has been the only medication that has leveled my mood more albeit still tends to be on the low side. addiontal background on me. i work 45 to 55 hours a week. I have an 18 month old daughter, I live with her and my girlfriend. I do exercise close to an hour daily. I sleep anywhere from 5 to 8 hrs a night. Regarless of the amount of sleep I get I am tired in the morning. I still have paranoid thoughts and slight anxiety when in public.

I've been on Latuda for a while now and when I first started taking it, it made me exhausted to no end. that lasted about a month or so. now that my body is used to taking it I don't get as tired anymore. I now take Latuda with Lamictal and Lithium, and seems to be a working combination. With the effects of the medication and the hours that you work, that would be hard combination for me to manage.
Thanks for this!

I've been on Latuda for over 2 months. I take 60 mg with 250 mg of Depakote. One of my friends with BP II (I have BP I)- just takes Latuda and its done a world of good for alleviating her symptoms. From what I've experienced- Latuda has helped improved my depressive symptoms, and it works well with Depakote for me.

It look me about five weeks to notice improvements with Latuda. I tried Lamical but started to have blurred vision. Be sure that your loved ones know that the results may not appear right away- but keep taking it.

It sounds like what you're doing helps- latuda does make me tired so I take it at night- that might help you with sleep. Keep exercising! I work full-time as well, so it's good that you're giving it a try.

Let us know how it goes.

I was on latuda recently and it ended up causing so many problems that I had to go on med leave for over two months now. Not to scare you but it was the worst drug I have been on. It caused a bad case of akathisia. I would have panic attacks everyday, I felt like I could jump out of my skin. Then my OCD went into overdrive with irrational thinking. The panic attacks were all day long. Then I was having the worst suicidal thoughts I've ever had. I should have admitted myself. I've been seeing my pdoc every week and have been on a ton of medicine. I'm finally coming back to a stable state and am going back to work next week. Work is the most stressful task for me so hopefully I don't regress. This was my experience, but I have read several success stories.

I was on Latuda for awhile but had major sleepiness with it. I took it at night to alleviate the sleepiness but it didn't help.

I could barely function. It also made me very light headed.

I know its worked well for others, just my experience was less than par.

I take Latuda and Lamotrigine as well. I'm at 80mg of latuda and have never felt better. No side effects whatsoever and it suppresses my appetite which is also a bonus

I have bipolar II and it has been a Godsend in stabilizing the mixed symptoms. As long as I do eat when I take it I've had no side effects, but if I don't then I get an upset stomach. I've lost about 30 lbs since I started it but that might be from also taking lamicatal and sleeping meds so that I've been getting sleep instead of up all night munching away.
