I hit hypomania hard, never been there before. I have been pretty steady on my meds for yrs and yrs, there always some depression, different degrees at different times. All of sudden I crashed, in a instant. I did not see it coming. Now I have a mess to clean up from hypomania, but I really don't care about anything. The worse part I know what to do to get out of this depression, I have had all the classes, force myself to do things, take my meds, try to eat right, schedule my day. I am a little OCD, so I am hard on myself. What do u do when you need a cheerleader in your head saying go, go, go?

I'm so sorry that you are in such a low place right now. As for that cheerleader in your head, let me know if you find one because I could use one too. Have you tried a local support group through nami or dbsa? They can lift your spirits and get you out of the house. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Just remember your kids are so important and they need you healthy. So take it easy on yourself. Set reasonable goals. Write down the problems you need and want to clean up from the hypomania. Start working on that gradually. (I have found the sooner the better with hypo.) Talk to your kids as much as possible and be present in their lives. You will get there and you can always come here for a cheerleader.
