It has been a while since I have posted or even visited here, I was feeling nervous but good. I got married in June, went to Europe for a month traveling through four countries with my new husband, and we are currently fixing up a house to move into. He just began working again since he had the summer off. I quit my job to move and have nothing to do during the day besides work on the house. I was hoping that all this wouldn't affect me too much but it most definitely has. The worst has been the creeping sense of loneliness along with not wanting to be with anyone because its too exhausting. I am just posting because I don't want to worry my husband or be a drag to anyone so this is a good outlet.

token. Sounds like a lovely wedding and honeymoon but now you're a bit isolated. The house that you bought that you're working on, is it in a city you're familiar with? Do you know neighbours, friends and family in your city? Or are you far away from everyone that was familiar?

Glad that you are recognizing your situation about loneliness and posting! Ignoring gathering pain and bottling it up in hopes it goes away does not work well for me. Reaching out in person or on this forum can help open the door of isolation or isolating. Isolating by not reaching out leads to depression for me, but everyone is different. Take care!

I am not very familiar with the city at all...I was amazed I was able to find my way to a restaurant without making any wrong turns or getting lost. His family is here but they both work. Other than that, I don't know anyone. I did get to see my family the other day when I drove home to pick up some of my things which was nice.

Any chance that keeping connected over the phone might help?

My phone hasn't been working for a couple days now unfortunately. I need to go get a new one once I figure out where a verizon store is here.

Unfortunately you are going to have get organized and head out systematically to find friends. You can do it.
