For you guys? How do you manage if it does? I am extremely busy right now and I feel myself slipping at times. I am a little scared by it. Would love to consider strategies for coping.

Yes. Being busy will elevate my mood and eventually make me very unstable. I don't have a coping strategy that actually works, though. I know DBT and CBT techniques, but once I've lost stability I can't make use of them.

The basic self care just ramped up when needed ... Meditation,Mindfulness,Exercise,Healthy diet,Yoga, Good sleep hygiene, Listen to calming music or upbeat whatever helps you, Self grounding, Allowing yourself to take mini breaks (5-10) minute break through out the day to just regroup.

I say just keep flinging coping skills on yourself until something sticks

I think the best thing you can do is to just put a plan in place to be busy. Visualize yourself doing well at it. Take care of yourself- get enough to sleep- and the more planning you put into it- the easier it is to manage.

Thank you guys. I am still crazy busy, and going off the deep end a bit. I drink and smoke when I start to go up into hypo mania triggered by business and that makes it worse.

Anyhow, I think I am coming back now, going to cut out alcohol and change diet and try and sleep.

What is DBT, CBT is cognitive behavioral therapy right? Let me know.

I like the breaks idea.
