I didn't realize how manic I was this time and I crashed this past week. Yesterday I finally took action and went to hospital to get my mood stabilizer. I applied to insurance thru the healthcare act and my medicine was free. I wish I had gone sooner. I made a fool of myself last week. After that happened I told people about being Bipolar.

Just picked up the Geodon and will be taking tonight. I went running because I knew it would help with my nerves so I ran 3 miles somehow and held back the tears. I will continue running as much as I can.

I feel numb though, I'm tired, and I'm forcing myself to eat.

It sounds like you're really taking action re your situation. Try not to beat yourself up over the foolish manic behavior. Been there, done that. Talk to yourself as a friend would. Give yourself a break. You're doing the best you can!

Amen on that one! Yikes!

Glad to hear you're taking action Gris212. I find that so very hard to do, especially when I need it most.

Hugs!

Thank you all!! It's been very tough year because I left my career and I can honestly say running has saved me. This time I'm going to keep running and now I'm slowly telling my loved ones so they can be supportive.

I had panic attacks with palpitations and it's more awful because I had open heart surgery as an infant. I had 3 ekgs Saturday. Everything ok with my heart just nerves getting the best of me.

It's sunny today. I feel calmer and I'm going to focus on 1 day at a time. Thank you all for your support!!

I understand about the panic attacks. For me, that's worse than anything bipolar can throw at me.
Although, maybe because I am bipolar, they lasts for hours and push me over the edge into psychotic break territory.

Fortunately the EKGs were normal and you now have meds. Sounds like you're going to get better now.
