So my doctor prescribed my 20mg of latuda, which has increased to 60mg two weeks ago on top of my lexapro and lamactil. The last week and a half I have felt like I was in a fog, more anxious than usual, unable to concentrate, trouble with sleep. Now these are all symptoms I've had but never this much at once. It's like a perfect storm of symptoms. Usually my symptoms are anxiety and/or depression. In the past I've never had trouble with concentrating but the last week and a half I can't even read for more than a few minutes. Are these side effects of the medication? Should I discontinue it w my doctor? I'd rather feel the depression prior to this increase than now. Could it be the medication or is it just a coincidence that they're occurring at the same time. (I've had two panic attacks in this week and a half and they were two of the most intense I've ever experienced). Thanks for any help!!! Anyone taking latuda? Side effects?

I went through some similar symptoms starting out with latuda.. fortunately I was on an outpatient program and wasn't working so I stuck with it. Glad I did... been very helpful as of lately.. fog has lifted and I feel more focused now then ever before. .. I was also getting off klonopins the same time this was added so I'm not sure how much I can contribute it to the latuda.. seems like latuda is an all or nothing med.. seems to work great or not good at all.. hoping it works out good for you.. took 3 weeks to start seeing results for myself.

I'm outpatient but working. Makes it tough to battle through the day. I'm actually on Klonipin but as needed not daily. Thanks for the input. Much appreciated. Glad it helped you!

I would definitely seek out the good and the bad... in the end it effects us all differently... seems there isn't much middle ground for this med.. most either says it's great or its horrible. Lol

I took it for about a week. It made me feel like I was crawling out of my skin. I was really restless. I wasn't able to stick with it and see if it was going to be beneficial. I know the research is really good for BP with this drug but I couldn't make it work. Hope this helps

I love it. It has really worked for me. I'm a little heavier, but with my cocktail, I'm bound to be. The fog lifted and I took it at night time when I was working. Make sure you eat before you take it. It has been much better than Abilify for me.

I read it and I'm sorry. That is rough. I cannot imagine. I stopped it for two weeks and just took one last night to give it a chance. I'm restless as hell. Not quite panic but anxious and restless. I don't want to waste using my Klonipin on this side effect crap. That was it I give up. I'd rather feel like I did a couple months ago before I started.

I am on 125mg and have been for awhile. I usually am good at getting the calories needed to metabolize the med with breakfast but it makes me EXTREMELY sedated. I take it in the AM and have been having a big problem staying awake during the work day. Does anyone have this problem?

Other than the sedation, it has been a life saver. I was inpatient for a week last January because I tried to kill myself. Since then, I haven't had any suicidal thoughts. I am going to try to switch taking my meds to nighttime. But I work two jobs and I am afraid if I take it with dinner I will be sedated at my night job and have a problem driving home. UGH.

Thanks for sharing. I've decided it's not for me. I got awful almost unbearable Akathisia from it. I felt like I would hurt myself just to make it stop. I had to take more klonipin than I'm used to to stop it. Restless, crying, panic, tense, excruciating. I've heard good things but that side effect was unlike anything I have ever experienced it happened twice and I saw enough. I'm glad it helps for some.
