Is there something you have to do in the mornings that maybe make you depressed? I wake up that way because I know I have to go to work, I'm already BP depressed, and I have to put the fake smile on so people don't ask questions. Just a suggestion.

I don't have a job, I don't have a dog . Even if I take a nap in the mid day I wake up with a hopeless feeling.Am I gonna feel like this forever? I'm in therapy and its more than just keeping a positive frame of mind.

I get up to get my daughter to school. If it wasn't for her I would stay in bed. I've lost my job and am stay at home for the first time in 10 years. For me, morning brings the reality of life to the fore. Being mindful of my daughter, and trying to help her have a positive day helps me. Can't say the dog helps - she is usually happy to jump on the bed with me and snore away the day!

I feel the exact same way. I have a job but that makes it worse because I cannot fake it anymore and go to work. I try to give myself one task per day that I have to get done. I tell myself I will be a real human being if I can get this one thing done (like laundry or something). Once I have done the one thing sometimes it leads to another but sometimes it doesn't. I try to think up things that other people do in their daily lives and I try to do them too. I guess to feel "normal". I don't know if this helps. I hope you feel better. I truly do

My depression in the mornings when I was working was intense. Not very easy to fake a smile when you're feeling so yuck. Try not to think of the whole day ahead. Stay in the moment, even if it means concentrating on each individual task only. Like now I'm going to eat breakfast. Then I'm thinking now im going to get dressed. At work I would try to think about each task hour by hour rather than the full day ahead.

I wake up and stretch. It not only wakes my body up but it makes me feel good and want to get out of bed.

I have to take my kids to school and take care of them. I am a single Mom with an unpredictable Ex-h.

I have to get up every day at 7:30. No matter what.

Wish I could stay in bed longer. Get something you have to wake up for. That is what works for me.

You always have to pee in the morning. I do not allow myself to leave the bathroom until I shower. That may help you wake up in the morning.
