So I haven't got my medical card yet but this cold is keeping me up all night hacking / dry heaving. It hurts to breathe. Yes that alone is not ER material but given my low tolarence for psychotic -like symptoms due to lack of sleep, stress, and my general unwell-ness I don't want it to turn into a psychiatric emergency also . Does anyone know the difference between pseudo psychosis and psychosis?

I dont know to be honest.. I have always been one to treat them both as a "psychosis" I hope your ER visit allows you get some medication that will help knock the crap out.

Sorry, hope you feel better. Bettet to go to urgent care or er before makes psychosis probs. You may be able call whatever# you have for ins, write down your ud number etc. Also often , er/admitting can use your name, birthdate, social to verify if your insurance valid. I believe some of the systems they use to check are navanet, gateway....or you may be able apply for charity care/sliding scale fees. Good luck

As always my body says nothing is wrong with the chest x ray and my lungs sound clear wtf. but because of my haking they gave me an injected steiroid (if that's what the injected AP is like I'd like that instead of pills.) And a breathing treatment. Then sent me home with a z pack and inhaler.

Glad you got some help .. I dunno why your chest was cleared ???? Ummm One thing to really watch for.... Steroid shots and pills can sometimes trigger a gigantic manic episode.

I think I was a bit up before. I'm taking my prn and have an intake on the 23rd so things shouldn't get that bad. Thanks for the heads up.
