I have discovered the wonders of group therapy and being surrounded by a room full of people who understand me. It's given me hope and reason to look forward to a future. Because of my now 8 day stint in PHP- I don't know what will be happening with work- but really- I could care less at this point. I feel like I am not alone and that there are reasons to live.

I guess my question is- my pdoc put me on 60 mg Latuda today- a very expensive drug...he says it helps especially for folks like me with rapid cycling and deep depressive states. Does anybody have any advice? He said he doesn't mind what time of day I take it- that nausea is the common side affect and that time of dosing may be what affects it the most.

Anyone have any advice? Not just time of day for dosing but side effects to look out for, success stories? So great to have a community of support like this...Thanks all for the help.

PHP was great it helped me establish a schedule.

For the latuda I've found it best to take it with supper, taking it with food decreases the nausea or you can take it at bedtime with food and sleep though the nausea. Latuda has helped greatly and is the best meds I've ever had.

I took mine at supper meal because you need the calories to absorb the med and decrease the nausea. It did not work for me that well but I have read lots of success stories. Hope it works for you

I was curious how expensive latuda is so I did a Google search for "latuda cost"; it is truly ridiculous. However, some of the results linked to coupons, one of which claims to lower the monthly cost down to as low as $25 'if you qualify'. It might be worth looking into them. I, in fact, use a similar coupon to reduce the cost of my Vyvanse rx.
