Hey all!!
I just want to start out by saying that I do suffer from mental health issues and I don't take medicine for them, I believe that one should be able to exert control over themselves. However I do understand that this method is not for everyone and also not everyone can control themselves I get that. With that being said my mother has recently been going through alot lately she has been cutting herself and just go released from an inpatient facility. I believe that while some of this stems from her going through a divorce but I hold her medicine accountable to. So these new psychiatrist are giving her a bunch of new medicine and I think this is adding to everything as well. She lives alone and I am having problems of my own and thought that I might go stay with her for awhile. Well after I mentioned it to her she got all excited that she wouldn't have to be alone (this is a trigger for her) and now I am rethinking. Me and my mom have never had the best relationship we have gotten in many physical altercations and we just recently are starting to develop a closer bond anyway to come to my point I have a hard enough time controlling myself sometimes and with the state of mind she is in now I feel as though we would just end up in a huge fight and I am trying to avoid that. Can you please let me know if I am doing the right thing I just don't know but I do know I don't want to ruin what steps we have taken to mend our frazzled relationship. Any advice is much appreciated. |

So you both have bipolar? I developed a close relationship to my Parents after I moved out. I would never move back in but I would move them into my place or get a place together. I wouldn't be able to deal with the power differential of it not being my place. If you do live together please consider therapy.
