Wouldn't call myself an actual musician but yeah, I play bass (and know how-to play guitar) in a band and we're doing very well last couple months. Got on national TV in my country, got a music video going on a music video show and more and more gigs, also won a competition kind of thing with 7 bands, got 1000€ and 72 0.5l booze.

I don't feel like I have much to do with it all though, I don't write the songs, (tho I have a couple songs ready & some ideas, but we're too busy for new material right now). I just come up with the bass-lines. Those are probably the most creativity I put out in the band. My style is kinda awkward. I play it like a guitar (pick and the body swings by my nuts).

Also forgot to mention I've only been to a 1 year guitar-lesson deal, so I've not learned bass or anything and that's probably why my lines are different.

Uh anyway, yes I do paint too sometimes (which I've never cared enough for to go to classes, although I'd really love to and wanted to go). So I can't draw anything "real" I just throw stuff together with oil-colours.

This I consider my best one, my mate loves it and it hangs on his room wall.

First time I sang a solo on stage i was 4 years old. Pretty much lived on the stage from then until a few years ago... My dancing and acting isn't too bad either, but I prefer a microphone.

I've played electric/classical guitar off/on the last 35 years and was accepted to School of Music at a University. Always wanted to be a rock musician but it wasn't in the cards. I failed as an engineer, as well. I am still trying - I put together my own electric and practiced a lot last Summer but my energy has waned.

I imagine that artists who are BP must really be effected by colors when they are manic. I had one manic episode in the Fall and I drove past a field and thousands of shades of brown hit me like a lightning bolt. It was really something. I was also overwhelmed once by all of the colors in the supermarket - I didn't realize that there were so, so many bright colors in the grocery store. I actually couldn't take it. I told my psychiatrist about it and she wasn't overly interested.

If I may interrupt the Lion King symposium here...

I AM a musician. Full time, it's what I do, it's what I have always done, only thing I have even done, been good at, wanted to do, etc... Seriously saves me from sheer hell as music and the arts in general, but specifically what I am involved with, experimental outsider music, really shields maverick weirdo personalities, and all of my peers tolerate my wild swinging mind with real grace!
Anyhow, I am a musician. And, btw, I am a saxophone player, Tenor. funny...
Soon...

You are from Estonia which is awesome! Just got back from that part of the world more or less... And the way you play bass sounds sick!

Very nice. I've been playing Charlie parker lately. Do you have a YouTube channel?

I play the alto sax and have played for about 14 years.

I wish i could devote more time to playing, im a busy guy, but i do have some stuff on yotutube.

Do you play anything? Sing? Rap? Paint? Please share your story.

Thanks.
I play trumpet in 3 different bands. My daughter, who plays flute, is in two of them with me . It's a good bonding time for us and good experience for her because she wants to play professionally after college.

I work so I can play music. Without my horn I would be crazier than I am already.

The creativity is my favorite part. Since my dx I've learned piano, I've started learning guitar and I've started quilting.
My husband is a musician, and listening to his music is very relaxing to me.

I am a "would be' musician. I have 10K in synthesizer equipment. I still have not decided what I am going to do with it. LOL I did used to play piano. I guess I am a little intimidated.

I sing, I am self-taught in guitar and piano (I also write songs, and have come up with a few pretty good compositions, if I do say so haha ), I love drawing, painting, any kind of creative or expressive writing, photography, filming and editing little videos. Heck even the most random things, like I love pottery?

I'm always too afraid to share most of this with the world though haha. But man, I just can't STOP creating when I'm in my highs.

Don't worry about what other people think. Do it for yourself. I used to be scared to play in front of people because I didn't want to make a mistake. Anymore, I don't care. If I screw up a note once, I'll do it a second time and call it jazz. Don't let others keep you from being creative and having fun.
