I've been feeling the urge to smoke weed these past few days and I'm afraid I'll just give in. Even though I know that stuff's not good for me (it shoots me up into mania), I miss it. It doesn't help that it's so easy to get, either. I've noticed a pattern of binge smoking in my marijuana use..a few months to a year without, then a period of very heavy use, like from morning to night. I absolutely do not want to start smoking again. Ugh, substance abuse sucks. :/

Maybe you need to pay attention to what is going on in your life that is driving the urge to use. If all was going well you probably wouldn't be fantasizing about smoking. Once you are aware of the issue, you have something you can work on.

With the temporary high will come some form of low. Studies show long term use can lead to depression. I'm not going to tell you not to smoke it. You're already weighing up the pros and cons and even if I did hypothetically say don't smoke it, if you really wanted to you probably would. Having it freely available is just a fabricated justification in your mind. Alcohol is freely available but that doesn't mean those who have given up alcohol addiction need to start buying it because it's freely available.

We're all free to make choices. But we are not free of the consequences of our choices.

PS: I smoked that shiuet years ago and it gave me nothing but paranoia, anxiety and distorted thinking.
Thanks for this!

Make a deal with me. Spend tomorrow weed free for me. The. You can decide about Saturday, but for Friday make a deal that for this one day you won't smoke.

It's tough. Not much else I can do from here to get you through it.
