I'm a little manic these days and I keep making all these connections. I feel that everything is connected and it's some kind of sign that something horrible is about to happen. I am kind of superstitious, so this kind of thing seems to stem from that and it can last quite a while if I don't tackle it with meds, but even doubling my meds (per doctor's orders) doesn't cut it sometimes. It's actually pretty scary!

I wished I knew what to say. As for myself, I got started on meds because of mania and I got myself scared a few times, and my employer as well to a point he fired me.
However, I am so f'in broke I had to put french fries at McDonald's on "lawaway". So, I have been contemplating stopping meds because I seriuosly need the manic "rush" to get me off of my ***. I've been thinking about things I never thought I would think of to try to make myself some living expense funds. What's the worst that can happen, 3 hots and a cot? |

Unfortunately meds can't always help which is really, really frustrating. It is sort of like asking for the magic cure pill for bipolar and there just isn't one. Ticks me off. Best to just take a deep breathe, sigh and know that this will pass. It always does. Never know when, but it does. Getting through the scary times is what is rough, but hopefully the more practice you get, the more "routine" it becomes. That is sort of how it is becoming for me.
Probably not the most comforting words, but I get what you are saying. You are in solid company here. |

i know what u are talking about
yes yes it is and yep yep something is going to happen nothing can do but watch rem and avoid repeating it ........as for yourself just keep your head on strait when everyone else goes nutty u will be king for the ones that do not know it is chaos theory....even in the madness some kind of pattern is formed .....then u are able to predict some of the possible outcomes from the emerging pattern .........the trouble is to do this u need to process a amount of data that would kill a person ........ppl like us can see parts of it....... it is why we make such good researchers and scientist ....and writers lvl your self out man and watch the show unfold |

What helped with me is when my therapist wrote down a possible and impossible list. List the proof you have for each of them. List other possibilities for the connections. It really help me to see things from a different perspective. also when you see the connections they are sorta fleeting panicky thoughts. This way you are forced to acknowledge each connection and break it down instead of letting them all compound. Hope this helps.

I do this when I am manic except everything is connected and its all wonderful and I am the cause of all these wonderful things. As a result I get into arguments with random people who don't realise how important I am.
Nothing horrible has happened yet. In a mixed episode ow ever I am convinced that WW1 and WW11 were my fault. |

I feel like everything is connected when I'm manic too. It makes me feel like there is a secret in the universe that only I am able to decode.
