I began having this horrible side effect after almost a month after beginning to take Latuda. Akathisia. It's the worst feeling I've ever had. I couldn't sit still, felt like I had to get up and run up and down the halls, kept crossing my heels and bouncing my feet...terrible. Called my pdoc and he knew exactly what was going on. He's tweaked my meds around and now I feel so much better. I was at 80mg once a day of Latuda. He's split it into 40mg twice a day. No more akathisia. Whoo!!

Glad you are feeling better. I also had a lot of restlessness for about a week when I started taking Latuda at 40 mg. Then it subsided so I titrated up to 80mg and have not had a problem with restlessness.

I still have nausea when I take it with food as prescribed so I take it at bedtime and my pdoc said that was okay as it can be absorbed into the body without food.

I was just prescribed latuda and have yet to take it. Im always skeptical about starting a new med. I asked if I could go back to seroquel, he told me no! I get tired of trying new meds, but I know thats the only way I am going to get better? Hmmm, I guess I will start it tomorrow? I need to be able to drive. I hope it doesnt interfere with the other 4 meds I take, i take quite a few....metoprolol, wellbutrin, trileptal, ....oh heck, what am I worried about, this just may be the one....the last one.
