My pdoc relocated and I have started back with my previous pdoc. Regardless of the excellent relationship I have with my previous pdoc, he is just not the same as the female pdoc I have been seeing for the last 18 months. I am just very sad about it. After seeing my previous pdoc for the first time in those 18 months, even though I like him, I am even sadder...heartbroken almost. I miss her so much!

I don't depend on any Pdoc anymore, they are so transient. I've had 7 in 12 years. They just keep up and leaving just when they get to know your name. Two of them were helpful and the rest were useless or damaging. It's a shame when you get one you can talk to (which is highly unlikely anymore now that big pharma owns psychiatry and according to them there is nothing but drugs) and they only last a year or two. I, too, was heartbroken with the loss of one who was so kind and conscientious, and since then they haven't even made an effort. Now there is no psychiatrist at all in this area because they didn't bother to replace the last one so everyone is S.O.L. It's so hard to reach out for help and then help keeps being snatched away when you do. Anyway, I'm starting to rant, but I do feel for you. I know what it's like to lose a close connection with one of these people, it hurts. A lot.
