five nights ago I ate a bowl of ice cream before bed as a treat. I slept all night without waking up once., to see if it was a fluke I ate another bowl last night, and again I slept all night with no interuption.. just to make it clear I wake up once or twice every night as a rule..do any of you medical type persons have any idea why,,can't eat ice cream every night I would soon weight 400 lbs..lol

Sounds like a good thing to follow up on. I make my own ice cream from frozen milk cubes, frozen bananas, almond butter and carob powder. Tastes good and is healthy too. Need a recipe, pm me.

You could try non fat yogurt and fruit.

It could be related to your blood sugar levels .. Mine often bottoms out in the middle of the night and it does wake me up.

I would try some healthy snacks before bed that could keep your blood sugar stable.

Just a thought.

Ice cream does the same for me as does a bowl of cereal. I like peanut butter at night too.
