I don't really have any. I track my moods and when the bad ones hit, I work on trying to control my thoughts. That's really about it.

Hi fingers-I utilize several complementary treatments: vitamin therapy, exercise, healthy diet, acupuncture, mindfulness meditation, journaling, mood tracking, art therapy, hypnosis, getting outside daily. I also see a tdoc weekly, pdoc every 2 months & am currently taking meds. My tdoc is currently working on an EMDR referral to help with PTSD, anxiety & insomnia. There are a lot of avenues to explore & as these things are becoming more mainstream with science backing them up the insurance is paying for things that even a couple of years ago they wouldn't even consider. Take care

I do all sorts of stuff but pretty much too drugged up to write them all down. Many are the same as turtlesoup. I also use yoga, horseriding, time outside, gardening, all mindfully obviously

I did everything possible. Diet, exercise, meditation, acupuncture, vitamin supplements and Native herbs. It all seemed to work as I have stopped all alternative therapy and I feel like crap. Time to get back at it

Aerobic exercise helps me. I'm also having ECT for my bipolar depression. It completely got rid of my depression at one point. Then I spread out the treatments and the depression came back so now I'm scheduling them closer together again.

I use journaling and meditation. The journaling helps me focus on moods and distorted t thinking while meditation helps me relax and not be as anxious. Though, I don't meditate as much as I should.

Best wishes, Gayle

I take meds, but meds are only 50% of the solution. In conjunction with meds I also journal and use other relaxation skills such as drinking a yummy herbal tea, listen to music that I like or do simple arts and crafts.

I like herbal teas. Just drinking anything hot seems to calm me down sometimes, but some of my favorite teas are:
-Traditional Medicinals lavender chamomile tea (Just a warning to be careful with other teas of this brand; some of the herbs can trigger mania in some people, and even if they don't, some herbs don't mix well with bipolar meds.)
-just plain chamomile tea
-peppermint or spearmint tea
-SleepyTime original, vanilla, or peach
-green tea (decaf for me, since I'm really sensitive to caffeine)

I also use yoga and journaling.
