In July 14, I started seeing a psychologist for depression and was diagnosed with Major depression, generalized and social anxiety disorder. I was given a regiment that was tuned up a couple times and the end result was 100 mg Zoloft, 300 mg Wellbutrin and .5 mg xanax as needed. I felt good, not happy but not depressed and more functional than I was. This lasted from end of October till beginning of January. I then started feeling very depressed, teary and did not want get out of bed unless I had work. My anxiety also skyrocketed again and felt it almost everyday. I informed my psychologist and she thought I may be bipolar. On the next session she had me take a bipolar test which I "aced." She said I scored biploar 1 and she said im borderline bipolar 2. After which I was able to see my PCP who lowered Wellbutrin to 150 and replaced xanax with .5 klonopin. I then was recommended to psychiatrist who started me on 10 mg Latuda to up to 20 mg.
I have been on it for a week, I felt only anxiety once this week. I still felt depressed most of the week, but not as bad and been somewhat functional.

Has anyone had any experience with Latuda or with share any similar experience. Thanks

Latuda didn't help my depression, then I had weeks of severe panic attacks upon withdrawal. These medications do different things for different people, and it very well may help you (I hope it does), but I was deeply disappointed by this shiny new drug, and I have subsequently unfriended Latuda on Facebook.

I'm on lamical plus latuda the combination is free of negative side effects except a stiff neck at the beginning and any increase but it goes a way in a short time. The positive side effects are great, I'm more stable than I've been in years.

Never had latuda, but a host of other stuff including zoloft which also worked ok for me too but seems to stop working after a few months. Same as you my depression never completely went away and I would just feel ok or better. Also zoloft gives me tremers some times and brain zaps. Not bad enough for me to stop but after awhile it no longer becomes worth it. I prefer klonopin over xanax because for me, I'm more likely to abuse xanax. Klonopins are different, no euphoria but it helps greatly with my anxiety and rage. I have tried purposely to abuse klons, I have taken up to 5.0 mg at one time. Still no euphoria, just got me tired. Xanax, just 1mg and I feel a slight high. So it's better for me to be on klons because there is no temptation to abuse it as I know it would be a waste of time and klons

I'm also on wellbutrin and it is hands down the best AD out there. No side effects. Helps fight my fatigue a little, does nothing for my depression and increases my anxiety.

The best med I tried was ablify, that worked the best for my moods but I can't afford the stuff so I'm waiting for it to go generic, this spring I think!

What's lamical? And what are the positive side effects? One my concern is weight gain.

I have not taken latuda; however, it works great for my sister. Her only complaint is weight gain; however, she has always battled an eating disorder as well, so this may come into play because she is not overweight.
For me most recently, lamictal worked for a couple of years for bp symptoms, but the mania eventually returned and I couldn't go any higher on the lamictal dosage, so I am now taking lithium. It is working very well. So much so, that I feel subdued. My pdoc says that it is not uncommon to miss the mania at times.

Lamictal is weight neutral. It's an anticonvulsant medication used frequently as a mood stabilizer, especially for those that tend to hang on the depression end of things. I used to take it, but recently switched to Latuda in it's place. Wasn't a bad med for me.
