I was feeling very anxious today. I am not sure why but the anxiety was killing me. I dragged myself to the gym to exercise and I feel 100% better. I am writing this thread so that other can benefit from my experience. If you are not already exercising you may want to add exercise into your routine.
Be warned the hardest part of exercising is getting past the anxiety and depression and getting to the gym.

It does. It's biochemical. My T said that one should go exercise for at least 5 days a week for a month to treat severe anxiety. I don't do that much, but exercizing definatelly helps along with avoiding sugars etc.

I dont get the endorphin rush. I asked my pdoc why I just feel ***** and low after exercise, she said not everyone gets the effect of the release of hormones, especially if I am already anxious or depressed. I still do 30 mins a day minimum (and up to 6 hours in a very physical job and horseriding when I am well enough) but it doesnt help me personally. I wish it was that simple for me

Sometimes I think I mistake my body signalling to me that it wants me to move for anxiety. I will try to keep this in mind and maybe it will motivate me to exercise more often than I do.
