I am addicted to a supplement called PEA. It used to be illegal. It's a hormone that stimulates dopamine and causes a rapid release of dopamine. It doesn't work with all people, but for me, it makes me high as hell. I ordered 4 more bottles and its what I take all day before I start puking and coughing. It's an over the counter prescription but if with some people it causes an intense high, especially if taken with an MAOI. I am high on it right now as a matter of fact. It's so intense I grit my teeth and can't even get out of bed. I'm afraid it's causing mania and I'm really not sure what to do. I told my psychiaitrist and she is going to research it, but when I am very suicidal, as I have been lately, it totally kills the suicidal thoughts and makes me want to go to college lol.

Not used it myself, but I have used other drugs to get away from the feeling is depression.
It's not a long term solution. You can paper up cracks but they'll still be there underneath it all. It's hard to give up something that can make us feel anything, I can't deny it. Think about the long term effects though and the damage you're doing. I've not been able to completely cut out my own drug use, but I'm doing better since I was encouraged to speak to my psychiatrist about it. Don't hold back either and show your Pdoc your post if you feel you can't speak about it comfortably. Good luck. |
