24 hours ago I started to feel better and then all of a sudden this afternoon I fell back into not caring about anything of anyone. Has anyone experienced this?

I'm the same way. Then depending on outside circumstances, a joke or some thing funny I can lmfao, then fall back in to deep depression. It's been explained to me that I have some thing more on the line of Atypical depression and it is harder to treat. Do you have moments of total joy or happiness and then they vanish in to thin air?

Do you chart your moods? Either by phone app or plain paper and pen.. You can chart then you can see if there is a pattern or if its just a blip and you can just ignore and move along.

Happens to me all the time. My Pdoc says I have Mixed Bipolar. Caffeine and lack of sleep can make it a lot worse. I was on lithium and Depakote and he just added Latuda to balance it out. Seems to be helping some after only a couple days!

Mx: To clean up the mess use lamotrigine, r
isperidon, mirtazapine and sertraline. Let it soak in for a while but keep a close eye on it. Meanwhile enjoy your desert of oxazepam/temazepam prn.

Yes. At times it can happen in a split second for me too. That's the nature of Bipolar.

Is that a sign of bipolar disorder? Even slight mood swings? It is not that Im going hypomanic, but sometimes if just feel a bit better, almost normal but if the nice event is gone, if feel depressed again.

It depends what type of Bipolar you have. Some people have cycles that happen faster than others...or situations that can set certain moods off. I think, for the most part, when something good happens it is normal to feel happy about it. Yet, if you are in a depression that is deep enough, I feel like $1 million could be won and it'd still be hard to be happy. So for me personally, it's a sign of Bipolar. I can be so down in the dumps and then all of the sudden out of nowhere I will start to smile and laugh nonstop. That can happen the other way around to (happy to sad).

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I'm not sure what bipolar I am I was diagnosed in 2007 with manic depression which I just found out 3 months ago is bipolar. I am going to see a psychiatrist next month.

If I may just add one more thing I learned that might help you and your doctor. Address your symptoms and don't worry which type you are. That's what my pdoc tells me when every I use to question him
