I went into work to find a note targeted at me that really made me mad then a coworker tells me, another coworker of ours, said I shouldn't be working there because I have too many problems and I'm crazy so out of anger and frustration I gave my 2 weeks notice and my boss basically says no your not quitting then fires my favorite coworker (not the one who told me the gossip) 3 hours later!
I'm very bothered by these girls saying I'm crazy and have issues after I told them I had to go inpatient. I've been crying on and off all night because I'm really hurt. These girls were being so nice and supportive of me going inpatient then I find out it was all ********. So I'll probably drop kick em next time I see them...jk I'm too old for that **** but I think I'm going to quit for real on Saturday it's just that my boss is very hippy free spirit type so she'll be like "it's cool you don't have to quit cuz of them their *****es" but really I probably will start some kind of fight now that I know their 2 faced lies and since my friend got fired I have to work with one of them now!! SOoOoO stressed ![]() ![]()

They are just people, sometimes they are nice, other times not, that is the way it goes. There is nothing you can do, and running away won't help, so hang on and let it all wash over you.

True enough TG, but what choice do you have?

Dont let them force you away from your job. Stay, and tough it out, that might show them that you are stronger than they think. But I know it is hard and that it is probably easy for me to say. On the other hand, if the situation is going to ruin your health in the long run, you should quit. A hard call to make though.

I know that I was VERY fortunate to not be treated like that at work (I dont work anymore). But one of my best friends who was also my co-worker for a while, was treated so badly by our colleagues that it was bordering to harassment/bullying. I read about this, and one of the pieces of knowledge I gained, was that a work-environment can be dysfunctional. I never thought to look at it like that. A really bad culture can develop, for several reasons, and that can make co-workers take part in the bullying. People are more suseptible to that than we choose to believe. See a therapist, read some books about it, might help you. But of course, it doesnt completely solve the problem. You still have to face the situation every day...

Don't quit your job - there's a good chance that will make things worse. Plus, there are people like that in every job. I am considered a bit of an oddball and head case where I work but that's OK. I have a VERY stressful job and have wanted to quit for years, especially lately. But I was recently diagnosed with BP mixed rapid cycling a few months ago an it has been a blessing for me. It has given me clarity and a new sense of purpose in finding a new job that matches who I am.
Think about what you want to do. It could take a year or more to change but try to chisel out a plan that makes sense. Another thing I have done is lowered the priority of my job - I used to be all out all day but now I try to deprioritize what I do and focus on other things in my life that make me happy. I know it is tough to do, but try to use your disability to your advantage. Right on. |

They are behaving like ignorant children. Karma is going to get them. Don't quit, ask your boss to have a sit-down with you, the problem causers and a copy of discrimination laws. Confront the cowards.
