I have just started Seroquel for my Bipolar 1. I was told that I should wake up refreshed but I do not. I feel like I'm in a fog, or a zombie walking around. I can't seem to wake up! Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

I was that way when I first started seroquel. It was a side effect that went away after awhile.

I took seroquel for several years before I had to stop it due to it causing big spikes in my blood sugar (type 2 diabetic). I had a similar experience to raspberrytorte, groggy at first, but that soon passed.

Most new meds take a bit to get use to. Give it a chance. Seroquel was very useful in managing my bipolar.

Hi, I'm on 50mg b4 bedtime, I tend to go to bed between 9 & 10 pm.
Are you getting enough hours of sleep? |

I have been on Seroquel twice now at 400 mg both times. It has helped tremendously with my BP and my sleep problems. I use to drink red bulls to wake me up. I got off of them and drink the V8 Fusion Energy that has the same amount of caffeine as a red bull, but it's green tea which is better for you. I have been weening off of Seroquel with the assistance of my pdoc because I am pre-diabetic and have high triglycerides because of the Seroquel. Right now I am at 200 mg. Everyone reacts differently with Seroquel, I need the caffeine, others adjust to it.
