I'm in no way, shape or form a religious man, but does anybody else believe that there is something or someone "up there" playing with their lives? I told my counsellor that when I go "up" and "down", It feels like I'm being taken over by an imposter.

It's only the past few weeks that I've started to think a bit deeper about this. I hate whatever it is "up there". I look up and talk to them/it. I tell them/it they've not beaten me yet. I taunt them/it. I call them/it the c word and laugh. This has happened a few times. It's happened tonight, which is why I've written this post.

Can anybody relate?

I was going to ask, are you having a psychosis situation?

Manic: Yes

Psychotic: No

I'm not hearing voices or seeing things. It's always a one way conversation.

A few things have happened lately that seem too strange. Much more than coincidence. I got a message in a fortune cookie a few nights ago which really freaked me out. These are all negative signs which make me relive recent and past trauma. I feel I'm being mocked and humiliated by whatever is up there.

Psychosis isn't just hallucinations; it is also delusions. I would think that what you are thinking/this belief you have could be a delusion. I would call and discuss this with your pdoc.

My GP can not treat me for my mental illness any longer. I was assessed a couple of weeks ago and I'm now waiting on a psychiatrist appointment.

...that is a bad spot. I hope you get in quickly. In the meantime, if your symptoms worsen so badly they become unmanageable, you can go to the closest ER. I hope you find relief and mindful rest soon.

Please tell us more about the message in the fortune cookie, which resonates with my own brush with an ancient Chinese secret.

I was going to be a father last year for the first time, but my partner miscarried. She was far enough pregnant that we'd decided on a name for the baby. That name was mentioned in the fortune cookie.

You could be experience a type of psychosis. If it begins to get worse and you don't think you can make it until your pdoc appointment I would say go to the nearest ER. They have to evaluate you; you may need IP treatment to get established on medications.
