So I have been on latuda for like nine months. My schedule got screwed up and I ran out. I'm not advocating going off meds all willy nilly but **** happens. Anyway my pharmacy is closed on the weekend and they don't keep it in stock so it takes an extra day. I started taking it because I was in a pretty bad mixed state and it snapped me right out of it, but at a cost. The cost was I traded my emotional pain for physical pain mostly in the form stomach problems. Anyway I have been feeling terrific since I stopped taking it. So my question is has anyone gone through something like this and if so did you star to cycle again because of it or did you stay healthy and just needed a little helper for a short time while you went through what we go through. hope that made sense.

I have never taken latuda but I'm currently tapering down from lithium of my own accord and I am feeling much better in so many ways. Yes some negative feelings like irritability have returned but I am feeling CLEARER and more myself. I hate being drugged up.

After I had a hard time on an AP I swore off all meds forever. That didn't work out so well for me and I am now on Lamictal. Huge difference. It is a great drug for me. Maybe Latuda was not the right drug for you.

I've been off Latuda for three weeks after taking it for a year,I'm still on lamictal though. I'm slowly descending into the dark and having a few physical problems going on but don't know if they are from stopping the AP or not.

I wouldn't recommend going completely med free. Changing meds sure, it can take years to find the right combination for you.
