Then I stopped going on my balcony because I got somewhat paranoid. I havnt been out there in about 2 1/2 years and the Cacti are thriving and overrunning their pots the others died out and weeds have started growing. The fake butterflies and decorations have faded but still it looks ok out there. Funny part is all my indoor plants died.
I would feel really bad for laughing at this. But, the paranoid feeling is definitely real.

My plants love me and I love them.
They are thrilled that I took the time and care to nurture them and give them a glorious life in the Sun.
They worship me, and after I cut them down...
I smoke 'em
Thanks for this!

But knowing something loves you is not the same as feeling loved.... And now I'm deep...

LOL You have good points

Shhhh! I'm secretly watering my neighbor's plant(!) Poor thing, so thirsty in that lil' pot. Would it be super-obnoxious to pop it out of there and plant it for real (there's plenty of room!) You know, in the middle of the night? Like maybe right now?

I love my plants and talk to them -- not because of any woowoo, but you know, like, "oops, sorry 'bout that!" or well, nevermind, I talk to things all the time, sentient or not... Could be a spatula. Or a support beam at the store if I bump into it.

Just TRY to get me past a big bunch of moss without petting it! Ooooh, look, oooh, moss, mmmmm!

But houseplants? No. Not so good with veggies either. Too much consistency needed.

(Lefty, I literally LOL'd at your post!)
Thanks for this thread Capriciousness, I really needed the humor.

And wow. I have a visual of you walking through fields and everything shriveling and turning dry and brown as you go by.

I guess I don't actually know in my mind how big a 50 foot radius is. Is it bigger than a field?
I so do not have a green thumb that the scenario mentioned above could actually happen...

And, I have no idea how big a 50 ft radius is either...just throwing numbers around

I do it because I think it is good for me to stay busy. Stay at home Mom during the summer can feel worthless.

LOL. Love this thread. Most of my plants die because I forget to water them. I basically forget they exist. I don't have plants anymore- I figured I had murdered enough of them
