School is out and I'm waiting for the next semester to start. Still, I can't help but feel like something is always going to stress me out. Right now I'm intensely lonely. All day. Every day. My best friend is out of town. My fiancé works. All my family and other friends are busy. I've tried everything I can to keep myself busy: video games, reading, exercising, writing, drawing and TV. Talked with my pdoc and my therapist. They can only monitor me right now. Every time I think I'm getting better, my mood plummets and my day inevitably ends up with me lying in bed, staring at my phone and waiting for anyone to text me. I though about hanging out somewhere else, but I figure I'd still be alone.

Any thoughts or advice is more than welcome.

TL;DR. I'm so lonely it hurts and I don't know how to fix it.

Why don't you try something new, like an art or yoga practice? It might be a nice way to unwind and meet some nice people.

Hi there. That is so difficult to have loneliness and moodiness just come into our daily life.

One thing you did not mention is being with people. That may be just what lifts your spirits. You can read people's posts and respond or you can go in the Chatroom. You are certainly welcome to attend the Depression Chat Thursday 9PM EST (8PM CST) to 10pm EST. It is a text based chat like these posts and everyone is highly respectful. There is no pressure to chat. You can stay and watch. If you feel like it dive in.

Need more info? Please feel free to private message me or any of the Community Liaisons by left clicking on the name in blue to the left of their post) for questions or just to share.
