I am thinking about asking my t for this. I still am in bed even though my mood has improved. Has anyone been on it? Any experience?

I've been on Provigil for 3 years now. Lately haven't been taking it as much. Meds have been changed around so I'm not as tired during the day. Whatever you do, don't get the stuff from the distributor Apotex. Not nearly as strong as other distributors. I know that's the one CVS uses. I totally forgot this and went and picked it up at CVS. Now I have to wait 3 weeks, to go get it filled at Costco. Costco has a good distributor. I'm glad I'm not working now, or I'd totally be screwed. It's so stupid how the strength of meds can vary between distributors.

Also, you're insurance will probably fight you on getting it filled. My pdoc had to send in a formal complaint for mine to be filled. He gave them a nice tongue lashing though.

I also take a provigil vacation on the weekends though. No point in taking it if I'm not going to be doing anything. Naps are good on the weekend.

BTW, I take 400 mg. That's the max dose. Whatever you do don't take 600 mg and 30 mg of adderall on top of that. I did this for a while and got psychotic and ended up in the hospital.

Also, don't drink a lot of caffeine while on provigil. Especially don't drink 2 energy drinks on top of 600 mg. Gave me a bunch of anxiety, then I'd have to take a klonopin.

Bottom line, be smart with your drugs. Don't do the stupid **** I did while on it. Also, no cocaine. FFS I'm surprised my heart didn't explode.
