I've had delusions I was unaware of.
Right now I have a delusion that I am aware of(and hopefully it remains that way!). It's a paranoid delusion that crows are always following me around and are reading my thoughts. Also, whenever I'm outside at night and see strange lights in the sky I'm convinced they are aliens, watching me, and I get really scared. It's ridiculous.

Thank you. I meant more mild than that....like being paranoid of people talking about you you, having thoughts of sex with people you Don't really know...attractions to them. Thinking that people are going to do something to your drink when you walk away etc....anymore?

Yes. I have thought things about certain people that I realize are delusional.

Consider also that what one might call paranoid, another might call cautious good sense. The drink thing is reasonable, imo. Especially in certain situations. Thoughts of having sex and having attraction... How would this be a delusion?? What strange belief is there? Nothing pathological about simply using your imagination. ![]() Now... if you were convinced that someone was desperately in love with you despite all evidence... THAT could be delusional, because it'd be a strongly held belief contrary to reality. Are these things causing significant negative impact on your functioning? If not, I wouldn't worry about them. ![]() |

I have hypersexuality...when I get this way, it's all I think about and I crave major attention...it's horrible. That has controlled my life...I been married 6 years and have had many separations bc of it. And I do get paranoid and it's constantly bothering me...I can't be my self bc of it. Also, I have this severe attention problem. I feel like someone should listen to me, do things I ask, fill my needs of attention, be obsessed with me...maybe like almost "worshiping" me per say? It's problematic for me. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G750A using Tapatalk |

Ah. Now with clarification, I can see the problematic levels of these things. I still don't see delusion though (Which is a good thing, yes?)...
Manic hypersexuality? Check. Paranoia levels that bother you? Check. A severe need for attention would seem to be a matter of self-esteem. It's not a delusion. Wanting to be almost worshipped isn't the same as believing you are being worshipped by whatever person. Does that make sense? Delusions are all about beliefs. I'm sorry these things are causing problems for you. ![]() Hope to at least have helped take worry over delusions off your plate. Do you have a T? Are they aware of these issues? |

Yea I'm very quick to blame others for small misfortunes. I guess I draw conclusions a lot without even getting any facts. It's hard to tell if your having a delusion your unaware is a delusion lol. I'd say a lot of times I do have small delusions that I'm unaware of and I need to work on catching them quicker.
It's like I instantly get angry about something and think a specific person was responsible or could have prevented it or did a better job usually this happens at work. I sware I'm gonna get fired some day if I ain't careful. |

I sometimes have beliefs about other people when manic. Not one person in particular. It is a strange belief system that I get.

I also used to live with somone who I believe had undiagnosed issues and she used to think I was out to do things against her. And in reality I tried to stay away from her and mind my own business.

For whatever reason my delusions never involve other people, and even when I'm paranoid they usually don't (with exceptions, like thinking random strangers are going to hurt my daughter and I when we're out in public, which I don't have a problem with anymore).
When I'm delusional, my husband told me it's like I'm in my own little world.

When I'm depressed I think that all of my friends hate me and are talking about me behind my back. I wonder how I ever thought they were my friends before, and I'm convinced that they were never really my friends. I believe that they have had thoughts/reservations about me all along but were just being nice on the surface, in spite of their not liking me.
I used to argue with my husband about this, as he would see it quite differently and try to convince me that this wasn't so. Then later, I would snap out of it and wonder how I ever thought that way. Of course they were my friends, and I was certain of it. Then it would seem ridiculous that I had ever thought that way. It would seem like someone else had those thoughts, and I wouldn't remember how I felt when I had them. Like not being able to relate to myself. I would try to put myself in my own shoes and remember feeling those feelings and would not be able to. Now I trust my husband. I will lay out a situation and ask him what he thinks. Often he says: "Yeah, buddy, you are being paranoid." Don't know if that counts as a delusion, but that's what I thought of when you asked that. |

I have had fear based on reality, but the fear was overblown & perhaps delusional. Example: OMG she's mad at me again. Truth: had nothing to do with me.
Can be worse if I'm not sleeping enough. |
