I am single.

When I am manic, I fantasize about an ex BF from 6 yrs ago. He was my favorite sexual partner. (I fantasize about other things and sometimes have sex.)

I was just wondering if your sexual desires change when you are manic? Do you act different sexually?

Yes,and yes. I tend to get more masochist. My husband tends to get more sadistic when manic. He often thinks about others. Me I'm okay with anyone as long as I get what I want. Almost like drunken sex.

When I'm manic I get super horny and will masturbate at least several times a day. When I'm manic the urge to eat and gain comes on with a vengeance, which is also a sexual turn-on. So when I'm manic eating and masturbating run rampant.

But do you have different fantasies or desires? Not just the hyper sexuality part, but a difference in what arouses you?

For example, I think women are sexually attractive but I don't really DESIRE them unless I am hypomanic or manic.

Oh my gosh yes! I have hypersexuality and fantasize about dominate and submission like crazy. It's one way I know that I'm coming up on a manic phase. And I will think about the person that did the most sexual acts for me in the past, who controlled me in the bedroom...

I'm very fond of males when manic but my usual type is females. Go figure I'm married to a man.

That is what I meant. It is like wilder more unusual sex is more appealing.

Oh yeah, definitely. When I'm in that state a super arousing fantasy is being out in public, maybe at a restaurant, dressed really nicely, with another gainer guy as we're stuffing ourselves, then going somewhere to take care of business. When I'm "normal" (whatever the hell that is ) those thoughts and fantasies never enter my mind. They also leave after I ejaculate, with a "wtf was that!?" (cummer's remorse), until I build up a head of steam again. Rinse, repeat until the mania passes.

I won't go into my personal life except to say my behavior and desires change when I'm manic.

Thank you all for your replies. Bipolar truly feels like you are two different people. It never ceases to amaze me.
