Having trouble keeping stable moods. I also have CPTSD with psychotic features and the two illness weave together. I was functional yesterday so of course over did it with housework and escalated and man did I crash into depression today. Very low self esteem about being overweight due to meds in part. Profound isolation. Any thoughts anyone?

I was having a great deal of problems with stable moods until I was started on Lamictal it has done wonders for keeping on an even keel. Ask your doc about it.
You could ask your doctor to switch you to weight neutral medication(s) and see what he recommends. |

Thanks guys. Lamictal is one of my meds for Bipolar, as well as Lithium. They are the best Bipolar combination I've had. I've been on a gazillion different meds combinations, including all those for CPTSD. I guess it's "as good as it gets". As bad as it is now, the Bipolar was a lot worse in the past. Trouble is, I want to try to go back to work after eight years of not working. Being on the Disability Pension, I can just not do activities if I haven't slept or am unwell, but of course if you're working you can't do that. It's so frustrating and heartbreaking. Last night I couldn't sleep and I'm wasted.
