Just started on this while inpatient, along with my mood stabilizer that we have upped evening dose. Anyone else taking it...hows it going with it? Antidepressants so far have worked for a bit then send me into major depressive state. I know this isn't an antidepressant so just wanted some feedback. Thanks

I take Latuda, I haven't had any side effects from it and it's helping me a lot though I am going to have to increase the dose and add a mood stabilizer as I'm manic as heck right now. But Latuda is a great drug especially for depression, I took it the first time in 2014 and it pulled me out of a nasty depressive episode(only one I've ever had) and I felt like ME again within days of starting it. I hope it works out for you and if not that you can find something that will, I know the med merry go round isn't fun at all.
Thanks for this!

I am on Latuda as well.......and I am stubbornly depressed about 85% of the time....Latuda is helping me. I currently just increased to 40mg. And I have had no side effects, either.

I was on 80 mg of Latuda and pdoc is now decreasing and weaning me off because he thinks I had a reaction to it. I disagree - I had a month of really bad cycling and anxiety levels were through the roof and somehow he decides that it is the Latuda. Have I mentioned I have no trust in this pdoc and am looking for a new one?!?!

I wish there was a magic solution to tell you what works and what doesn't. Gosh that would make life so much easier!

I'm on 60mg. I had no side effects the first time. After a year I decided it was time to taper off, I stayed on the lamictal-- too much trouble to restart.

Going off--Mmmmm not such a good idea. Was fine at first then a couple months on started having trouble with some mixed symptoms. Took a bit longer the second time to work plus I had a lot of hair loss. But it seems to have stabilized now. Pretty sure it will get as thick as usual as my body gets used to it. I think of latuda as a mood stabilizer. Helps the depression but it also helps the hypomania and mixed symptoms too. I haven't had any depression while on it although I got a bit hypo it wasn't anything to worry about.

Im a week and a half in on Latuda. Thirsty and headaches are only side effect atm. Prolly related to each other. I also had to add a new med a few days ago and things have been shytti. Whole other story. So i can say latuda worked fine until new med introduced.
Thanks for this!

I had the worst reaction to Latuda. I was on 2 1/2 months of med leave because of it. My body would not metabolize it correctly. I had what I believe to be akathasia. I would be in a panic paranoid state all day, with this horrible energy running through my body. Totally scrambled my brain. The side effects lasted for a year. From what I read is it's either a God send or pure hell. Not trying to scare you, it will probably work out just fine. Good luck.

I used to take Latuda and it made me further depressed to an extreme that I had to call my psychiatrist and get a med change overnight.

I hear Latuda I great for a lot of people but I had a bad reaction with akathesia when I got to 60 mg. He originally wanted me to get up to 80mg. I had to stop it.

I've loved Latuda. I am fairly stable and able to function enough to have held down a job for a year. No side effects experienced other than it making me sleepy, which is actually beneficial in helping regulate my sleep schedule. Best of luck and hope you find the meds that work.
