Just wondering if it's the meds or me or bipolar? Or what?

I hear everything like I'm stuck inside a bell that's rung and everything echoes. Like maybe my head is hollow and everything just bounces around...not sure how to explain it better. Sometimes I'm fine and then I get this sensitivity to sounds and there's a sound like the water makes when it pulls away from shore.

I get sensitive to sounds but it's from my fibromyalgia. I wouldn't be surprised if for you it's happening as a side-effect of a med.

It's part of bipolar. It's called hyperacuity. It is so annoying. I get this with mania. One of the best ways to know if I'm manic is that I can hear both of my therapist's clocks ticking off beat from one another and it irritates me greatly. Enough we've had to turn on white noise. Even the noise of water in the shower can be enhanced and bothersome.

I used to get super sensitive to light (like, feeling as though I should be wearing sunglasses while driving at night because the street lights and oncoming headlights were soooo bright it actually hurt at times), but it hasn't happened since I've been medicated. I always thought it was somehow related to psychosis (for some reason).
