I started my first dose of Latuda last night (20mg) and my head already feels clearer but my body is ACHING! Anyone with fibromyalgia taken Latuda? I'm wondering if it can increase pain or if the timing is just a coincidence because I have been bedridden with my depression for several weeks. It's so bad right now that even my armpits hurt. I haven't had pain like this since before I got on Cymbalta.

I have Fibro. I didn't notice any pain years ago when I was put on Latuda .. But I did feel like I had men with chain saws in my brain pulling and pushing. Needless to say I did not stay on Latuda.

Some psych meds will cause Fibro to flare. Toxic mess of chemicals being ingested daily is bound to be a problem for Fibro folks since Fibromyalgia is just our nervous system being on high alert 24/7 ..

If your pain continues please let your pdoc know ...

I hope you feel better soon.. ** gentle hugs**

Do bipolar meds work with Fibromyalgia? I just met someone who has it.

It's hard because we have so much fatigue. Seroquel helped me a ton at low doses because it improved the quality of my sleep, but I couldn't maintain therapeutic doses because it made me too groggy during the day. Lithium makes me really thirsty and when I retain the tiniest bit of water I start aching. I just make sure I'm not consuming too much sodium. It's tricky! But I use Cymbalta as my antidepressant and it also treats fibro.

I've been on Latuda a few months now and I have fibro......have not noticed any increased pain due to the Latuda. I hope it's just a coincidence thing because I have had very positive results on the Latuda. Good Luck!

I do not have fibro but I need to take propranolol with the Latuda to keep it from tightening my muscles. If I take them together I have no problems.
